Owner and head of research, Carlo, identified a significant environmental and health risk in the traditional distressing of jeans. Dremeling—a common technique used to alter denim—releases thousands of tiny fibers into the air, posing a serious hazard as operators unknowingly inhale them. For Greenlab, this practice was unacceptable. In response, they developed patented laser technology to effectively replace dremeling, making the process both safer and more sustainable.
